Prejudice zapped

Harley-Davidson, always there to boost a rock star's image.

I must confess, I am not a fan of Frank Zappa's music. But I warmed to him a little after seeing this photo. I seem to remember reading somewhere that he rode motorcycles, but from the look of his strides and shoes in this image, perhaps not.

  • He rode that machine for sure. I read a good history on L.A.'s Topanga Canyon back in the 60's. It wasn't to far from Sunset Blvd. Frank had a cool house there were a lot of musicians from that time period (they were just starting out) used to hang out. Eagles, Jackson Brown, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, Joanie Mitchell, James Taylor, Gram Parsons etc. there was something in there, since forgotten, about patchholders, a bike builder, a bad accident, et. There was a bad canyon fire, early 70's I believe, and heavy drugs killed the Canyon scene. That and property developers.
