When I started Greasy Kulture Magazine back in 2007 I felt there was a gap in the market: the big publishers were ignoring the younger guys riding older choppers and bobbers and the only other magazine out there that was featuring the bikes we love... the glorious DicE Magazine... had plenty of style and chutzpah but not quite enough detail on the machines and builders to satisfy my inquiring mind.
So I tried to focus on informative writing with GKM; along with good photography, all presented on nice paper wrapped in decent design.
And though the market has narrowed –I now have countless competitors – I still get emails from people I respect, other independent creative types in the bike industry, telling me GKM is the best out there for a good read and nicely laid out features.
But hey, they probably say exactly the same things to the other guys! So I suggest you try GKM for yourself if you haven't already; the best – and cheapest - way to enjoy an introductory taster is with our back issue bundle... three back issues for a fiver.
