Buttons: The Making of a President by Jamie Mandelkau, First Edition Sphere paperback, 1971

This is one of the rarest original Hells Angels-related books and this Sphere paperback is a first edition, published in 1971. It is extremely scarce: try finding another copy, especially in this condition!

It is a factual account of how the Hells Angels started in England and how 'Buttons' became their first president by travelling to California to get the London chapter's charter. It's a great read.

This copy is very nice: complete and tight with no tears and hardly any wear. There is an eight-page section of black and white photos in the middle. As with all these kind of paperbacks, which were cheaply mass produced, the newsprint-type paper has yellowed at the edges.

Book measures 7 1/8 x 4 3/8 inches (18 x 11 cm).
