Chippewa 'black tag' heritage soft toe engineer boots, UK8.5/US9.5 (fits UK9)
Marlon Brando wore Chippewa engineer boots in The Wild One and these 11 inch 1901m48 model boots were created in recent years by the company as their 'classic' line, following their 1940s-50s style cues. These were handcrafted in the USA and have since been discontinued: they are hard to find!
Nicely shaped soft toes, solid brass/nickel plated buckles and Vibram Heritage outsoles mean these boots have all the classic '40s-'50s attributes, and they're made in 'Whirlwind' full grain American hide. They have Goodyear leather welts, steel shanks and Texon insoles with maple leather heels. Made to last, in other words.
This pair has been pre-loved but as you can see from the photos they are beautifully – but barely – worn in. Please note: these boots run large (with E width fitting) and will fit up to UK9/US10.
