Rumble in the Wolds
Share
The word 'wold' comes from old English and originally meant 'forest' but now refers to open, hilly countryside, usually on a base of chalk and limestone. A long range of wolds stretch from North Yorkshire, down the east of England into Lincolnshire. And that's where the 'Rumble in the Wolds' happens.
Invite-only, pre-Evo only, this isn't an elaborate event: no show bikes, show tents or show girls here. This is a run (and piss-up) for old Harley owners who really ride their bikes. Organised by Bean, whose 'Bean's Paint and Parts' business boasts the biggest stash of pre-Evo Harley parts in the country, this is the place to get a snapshot of the kind of old H-Ds being ridden in the UK (although invitees also come from Ireland and mainland Europe). Enough waffling... check out the array of machines. All cool, all RIDDEN.
