Chris Hatton's a well known character on the UK's chopper scene; he co-started two of the country's best chopper events (the Hook Up and the Six Town Show) and he's no slouch at building bikes, either.
He believes choppers should be demanding, confrontational, radical. He builds bikes that other people – unless they are utterly fearless – are simply not going to ask him to ride. And his latest build, a hand-fabbed '67 Shovel chopper, offers absolutely no compromises with its de-raked, jockey-shift, no-front-brake, high-pegged, heel-braked composition. Why? How? We ask him.
And if you think this issue's out late... well spotted. Family crises, Covid-related printing crises... don't ask. Just enjoy!
